times like these
and times like those, what will be will be, and so it goes.Splitting firewood, mending fences, cutting hay - I have never done more fulfilling work than the seasonal preparation that’s so essential to country dwelling.

zoesfoundobjects asked: So, we never got coffee :( but it looks like you're into farming/animals/possibly agriculture-like things. What are you up to? Are you still the same SIS track or did you switch it up? I saw that you went on an Alt Break but I know nothing about it. I hope you had a phenomenal semester and your summer has started off well!
hey girl! will you be around this summer? we can always grab a cool iced coffee to beat the dc heat :)
i’m still very much in SIS! i found my interest in food security & development over the last couple of semesters, so i’ve been working hard to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible. my alt break was great! we went to part of the corn belt (iowa, kansas, missouri) to explore and experience different facets of and views on our modern agri-food system. hopefully, fingers crossed, i’ll be able to lead it back to the midwest next year!
what are you up to for the summer?

Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.
